Artist's Comments

Yay for practice works. Until I learn more this is as far as I'm going to take this one. So I'll say it is finished.

I didn't get around to adding wings and a tail to the original sketch I did in Sketcher2 at the time and when I picked it up again I decided to leave them out for another picture.

I was messing around with some mag supplied brushes that were provided by a tutorial that lacked any information on them so for the time being I'm assuming they are freeware.

The tutorial was provided by "LoraSykes" but I haven't located how Lora may have acquired or made the brushes. The magazine is Photoshop creative issue 24 and no I haven't followed the tutorial lol - the actual tutorial was on Chinese painting and I was just messing with the brush assets checking them out.

That's some real killer anatomy you could really feel the muscles.

That's nice. A lil blurry tho. You seem to be improving fast on drawing dragons :)

Heyyy, this looks familiar. D: And I'm with Merc. And it's a bit blurry. You could've made it a little smoother (I'm not sure how but I did it once or twice ). Looks great otherwise. c:

Thanks man. Yeah I need to get around to spending more time with smaller brushes to bring in texture and detailsÔjust I have to think of the texture to bring out first.

Yeah I was messing around with a 'heavy oil brush' and first and then played with a 'light textured water colour' brush after that. Those particular ones were better in the larger scope of the pic. I should pay attention to the smaller ones >.>
